We are looking for an agile and collaborative leader to be the Head of Procurement, Asia Pacific, for one of the top global logistics companies. The role is responsible for the procurement of all services, working with a diverse team of professionals across the Global Portfolio, Spend and Supplier, of Individual Units.
You will own and manage a multibillion dollar sourcing portfolio.
You will develop and motivate a team of highly skilled, cross cultural procurement professionals and be an active member of the Regional Leadership Team.
Drive the end-to-end operational cost and performance, as well as support the company global transformation journey.
You will personally lead several high impacts sourcing projects, collaborating with a range of external partners across the transportation industry.
You will be exposed to a wide and challenging range of business issues requiring regular engagement, coordination, and collaboration with key stakeholders across various management levels.
You will have the opportunities to work and communicate across geographical and cultural borders will enable you to build a strong professional network, as well as broaden your knowledge and strengthen your technical and professional foundation.
Deliver on the Project pipelines, annual cost savings plans and supplier performance management, regional targets and collaboration initiatives across the Portfolio.
Collaborate with the group companies and cross units, being part of cross company business cases on investments, and other joint initiatives.
Develop, enhance, and execute negotiation and Supplier Relationship Management strategies towards suppliers.
Drive development of the Procurement function, including Global Supplier Relationship Program, Supplier Performance & scorecards.
Play active role in the development of the network design based on market knowledge ensuring an optimal deployment of assets, in line with contractual obligations.
Manage a balance between cost, service reliability and best in class delivery promise to our customers to achieve sustainable solutions.
Deliver on the cost and customer promise agenda through a team of procurement professionals within the Region, supporting the delivery of best-in-class solutions to customers.
Drive Total Cost Optimization and Value Optimization for business results, drive the overall organizational transformation, manage the relationships & synergy between Regional Procurement and Centre Procurement, Network & Market teams and contribute to global Initiatives.
We are looking for:
Prospective candidates are enthusiastic and positive individuals with demonstrable experience in leading large and complex procurement and sourcing organizations. Experience leading a diverse team of cultures and managing operations internationally is a must.
Furthermore, direct experience within fields of the logistics & transportation industry is looked upon positively.
You demonstrate strong negotiation skills together with an outgoing and convincing personality; an inspiring person who can engage and support teams & colleagues to deliver while collaborating with diverse stakeholders.
