Job Description

POSITION

The Head of Integrative Solutions is responsible for the leadership of a team which is based in countries across Asia, focused on developing commercial solutions for new business opportunities.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

 Client Solutions Response Management

  • Oversee the entire tender process with includes the development of response format / pricing matrix / responding to queries to timely submission of RFI, RFP and RFQ to customer / sponsors.
  • Responsible for the co-ordination of multi-country, large, complex and cross-product tender submissions.
  • Responsible for the maintenance of the organizations content database and case studies, including SCM Solutions (which may include web and marketing collateral).
  • Coordinate and manage the information flow from the sales lead, and other sales team members and internal service / rate providers to create a complete and professional customer proposal within the required time parameters.
  • Conduct analysis, propose and implement improvements on unsuccessful tenders.
  • Manage team allocation by ensuring that each team member has a manageable workload and reallocating resources as needed.

Intralogistics Solution Design

  • Collaborate with key stakeholders in the company to ensure a proposed solution solves the clients’ problem.
  • Provide analysis and design support in the pursuit of new business, inclusive of requirement clarifications, tender evaluations, manpower calculations, infrastructure investments and design.
  • Responsible for project deliverables and involvement in solution presentations to customers
  • Where required, apply robust analytical approach to flexible, sustainable and efficient solution design.
  • Maintain working relationships and collaborate with vendors of integrated warehouse technologies and specialist firms.
  • Identify and develop with existing or new customers, improved supply chain strategies that are innovative and offer win/win solutions.
  • Develop “thought leadership” in key areas / topics of interest within Intralogistics.
  • Investigate new opportunities with existing the businesses and clients to improve their business performance.

Transportation Solution Design

  • Collaborate with key stakeholders in the company to ensure a proposed solution solves the clients’ problem.
  • Provide analysis and design support in the pursuit of new business, inclusive of requirement clarifications, tender evaluations, fleet/sub-contractor/network requirements, infrastructure investments and design.
  • Responsible for project deliverables and involvement in solution presentations to customers
  • Maintain working relationships and collaborate with vendors of integrated technologies and where relevant transport providers.
  • Identify and develop with existing or new customers, improved supply chain strategies that are innovative and offer win/win solutions.
  • Develop “thought leadership” in Transportation key areas / topics of interest.
  • Investigate new opportunities with existing businesses and clients to improve their business performance.

Knowledge Management

  • Maintain all reference and support materials in an organized, indexed directory which is up to date and clearly allows users to use the right standards.
  • Responsible to provide support to the business in the aspects relating to sales materials and reference cases
  • Representative of Logistics/SCM for collaboration tools (eg. Sharepoint) for the region, including contributions to development, uploading and administration of materials
  • Undertake the necessary support in terms of solutions, proposals and presentations where required for the support of new business opportunities.
  • Conduct research and development into auto-proposal builders and maintain a robust current set of building blocks.
  • Contribute to Marketing of capabilities in terms of web presence, social or traditional media.

Standard Methodology & Training 

  • As part of the overall Global SCS effort, support on the development, deployment and continuous improvement of the company's Customer workflow and the Knowledge Reference Library.,
  • Develop, adopt and conduct training programs in the areas of Bid Management, Reference Library Navigation and Professional Proposal Development.

SKILLS ESSENTIAL TO THE JOB

Technical (Doing skills – job related knowledge, policies, procedures, techniques).

  • Detailed Knowledge of Intralogistics & Transportation operations
  • Strong geographical knowledge of countries within Asia, including demographics, infrastructure, common corridors, specific zones and transit conditions.
  • Understanding of regulations & conditions across countries within Asia
  • Multimodal transport design (i.e. Road, Rail, Barge, Domestic Shipping, Air, Cycle, etc)
  • Design and specification of Materials Handling Equipment, Storage and automation systems.
  • Good facilitation and analytical skills.
  • financial/cost accounting and analysis.
  • Strong Mathematical Modelling including Operations Research and Data Analytics skills.
  • Advanced Excel and VBA Skills. Other programming skills advantageous.
  • Demonstrated ability in preparing professional proposals
  • Excellent Presentation and Documentation Skills
  • Detailed analytical and problem solving abilities
  • Fluent in English and other/Asian languages beneficial
  • Stakeholder management.
  • Transport process design and/or operation management knowledge preferred.
