Global VP Direct Procurement

We are looking for a forward-looking leader for one of the world’s leading food companies, to lead their procurement team.

The role is responsible for the successful coordination of cross-category Procurement initiatives. The incumbent must be agile and open in their willingness to partner and co-create the team’s continuous improvement opportunities among the Leadership Team. They ensure thoughtful prioritization of work to maximize the team's value creation and outreach towards the most impactful work. They support the team in effective stakeholder management and collaboration to create a shared services mindset and team brand within Procurement. 


  • Provides guideline and direction for the key Procurement end to end processes ensuring alignment with the strategic goals
  • Supports Procurement Category Teams in establishing best practices and maintains pulse of key industry trends
  • Lead KPI animation and dashboarding for critical Procurement Excellence metrics
  • Represent Global Procurement Excellence Network and support regional Procurement initiatives
  • Supports Procurement Category Teams with data reporting and animation needs
  • Able to lead Operations Procurement such as digitalizing and automation of processes, ensuring optimisation of the systems in place
  • Ensures successful implementation of team's initiatives including sustained adoption of new process, standards, policies, etc.
  • Provide thought leadership and management for evolving cross-category programs (ie: Supplier Diversity, Responsible Sourcing)


  • Strong functional knowledge of supply chain, operations, procurement, demand and/or supply planning, preferably in the Consumer-Packaged Goods industry
  • Experienced strategist, developing, animating, and selling strategies
  • Strong analytical capabilities, with the ability to digest complex data to solve business problems
  • Excellent written and visual communication, with strong capability to story tell through PowerPoint and other vehicles
  • Experience with carbon reporting preferred
  • Experience leading or supporting corporate social responsibility initiatives preferred

Education and Experience (Requirements):

  • Bachelor's Degree required; MBA preferred
  • min. 10 years of experience required, preferably for a global consumer packed goods beverage/food supply chain
  • Experience leading a team
