Vice President-Supply Chain, Asia Pacific

The Vice President Supply Chain, APAC is a senior leadership position responsible for overseeing the end-to-end supply chain operations in the Asia-Pacific region. The incumbent will provide strategic direction, drive operational excellence, and ensure the efficient and effective management of resources to support company's business objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute the supply chain strategy for the APAC region, aligned with the overall business objectives of the company.
- Identify and evaluate opportunities for strategic partnerships, process improvements, and cost optimizations.
- Ensure effective implementation of supply chain initiatives to support business growth and enhance customer satisfaction.
- Lead the demand and supply planning processes to ensure accurate forecasting, inventory optimization, and on-time delivery to meet customer demands.
- Monitor market trends and customer requirements to proactively adjust supply chain plans and mitigate potential risks.
- Drive a customer-centric culture within the supply chain organization, ensuring exceptional service levels and timely resolution of customer inquiries or issues.
- Build and develop a high-performing supply chain organization, attracting top talent and fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous learning.
- Define roles and responsibilities, establish performance expectations, and provide coaching and development opportunities for team members.
- Identify future talent needs and implement succession planning strategies to ensure a strong pipeline of capable leaders.
- Define key performance indicators (KPIs) for the supply chain function and develop dashboards or scorecards to monitor and report performance against targets.
- Utilize data analytics and business intelligence tools to identify trends, opportunities, and areas for optimization.
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement within the supply chain organization, promoting lean methodologies and driving operational excellence initiatives.
- Lead change management efforts to implement process improvements, system enhancements, and organizational restructuring projects.
- Encourage cross-functional collaboration and engagement to drive innovation, streamline processes, and achieve cost savings.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, or a related field. Master's degree preferred.
- Minimum of 15 years of progressive leadership experience in supply chain management, preferably in the healthcare, medical device or tech industry.
- Proven track record of successfully managing complex supply chain operations in a multinational organization, with experience in the Asia-Pacific region.
- Strong strategic thinking and analytical skills, with the ability to translate data into actionable insights.
- Demonstrated ability to lead and inspire cross-functional teams, driving a culture of continuous improvement.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
- In-depth knowledge of supply chain best practices, including operations, demand planning, procurement, production, logistics, and distribution.
- Familiarity with regulatory and compliance requirements related to supply chain operations in the healthcare industry.
