Alcott Global is retained by a Global Leader in Consumer Goods to search for a dynamic and experienced Vice President of Supply Chain Management (APAC) - Shanghai to lead their operations across the APAC region. This is a critical role responsible for driving strategic initiatives, optimizing our supply chain network, and ensuring efficient and cost-effective delivery of products. The role is based in Shanghai, China.
- Develop and implement a comprehensive supply chain strategy for the APAC region, aligned with the company's overall business goals.
- Oversee all aspects of supply chain operations, including procurement, manufacturing, logistics, warehousing, and distribution.
- Develop and manage relationships with key suppliers and logistics partners throughout the APAC region.
- Identify and implement process improvements and cost-saving initiatives to optimize our supply chain network.
- Manage inventory levels effectively to ensure product availability while minimizing holding costs.
- Lead a team of supply chain professionals and foster a culture of continuous improvement.
- Develop and implement risk management plans to mitigate potential supply chain disruptions.
- Provide strategic insights and recommendations to the executive team regarding supply chain trends and opportunities.
- Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to ensure smooth integration of supply chain activities with other business functions.
- Stay abreast of industry best practices and emerging technologies in the supply chain field.
- 15+ years of experience in supply chain management, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role.
- Proven track record of success in developing and implementing effective supply chain strategies.
- Extensive experience in managing complex supply chain networks across multiple countries and cultures.
- Strong understanding of lean manufacturing principles and Six Sigma methodologies.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain positive relationships with stakeholders at all levels.
- Demonstrated ability to lead and motivate a team of professionals.
- Strong understanding of APAC business practices and regulations is required.
