The role will be responsible for managing a sizable spend as well as an aggressive commercial growth agenda. This includes managing and developing a large procurement team and working closely with the stakeholders to drive organizational transformation and support the growth journey. Experience in supply chain management, contract and lead logistics, fulfilment services, landside transportation and procurement are expected. Scope:
· The Deputy Chief Commercial Officer, Greater China will be responsible for driving revenue growth through sales and development of global accounts. They will be measured off on Key Performance Indicators (KPI) that will be set by Chief Commercial Officer, Greater China Area.
Responsibilities:
· Accountable for maintaining relationships on strategic global customers and bringing them to a close.
· Applying consultative approach to understand needs of our client base, discovering customer needs
· Work with the Greater China region to adopt the global sales process
· In conjunction with the current sales team, develop unique solutions to our prospective and/or existing client base
· In conjunction with the current sales team, maintain a strong pipeline of new customers and measurement of progress
· Work alongside our branch network on calls, give guidance and training to branch network to improve overall bench strength
· Grasp industry trends in Trade, Regulatory and Market Intelligence information and communicate to customers
· Contribute to the build out of the regional account management functions in the region
· Assist branches to implement global accounts based on pre-determined SOP’s and requirements
· Aid, train and support the Greater China Area sales team on the usage of the company’s technology
· Maintain a commitment to the company’s values and business code of ethics
· Understand and demonstrate the value of the company to potential and existing clients
· Learning and adopting strengths of the company’s key service lines in the region
· Brand ambassador for the company in the region*
Qualifications:
· Fluency in English and in Mandarin are required. STRONG communication (Verbal and written) skills in both languages
· Ability to work with different cultures and personalities
· 10+ year experience in direct sales role – working with decision makers in Asia
· 10+ years in the logistics/freight industry preferred
· Self-motivated and competitive with strong organizational and interpersonal skills
· Strong skill sets in working with Major and Global Accounts
· Ability to motivate team members and offer constructive criticism
· Excellent leadership and indirect people management skills
· Proactive, aggressive, well-organized, and hard working
· Able to work under pressure and solve problems independently
· Proficient in MS Office including Word, Excel, PowerPoint
