Alcott Global is retained by a global FMCG company to search for a Head of Manufacturing International Markets based out of Mexico.

 

The role reports to the Regional Vice President Supply Chain International Markets

 

Role Overview

The Head of Manufacturing International Markets is responsible for overseeing all manufacturing operations in the region, ensuring efficiency, quality, and cost optimization in alignment with the company’s strategic goals. This role will also integrate supply chain and go-to-market strategies, ensuring seamless production and distribution to meet customer demands for a fast-moving consumer goods company.

 

This leadership role requires expertise in end-to-end supply chain management, operational excellence, and market-driven manufacturing to support business growth and profitability across the internatiional markets.

Main Responsibilities

  • Manage manufacturing operations across multiple facilities in international Markets, ensuring compliance with quality, safety, and regulatory standards.
  • Develop and execute manufacturing strategies aligned with the company’s global and regional goals.
  • Lead continuous improvement initiatives to enhance productivity, reduce costs, and improve operational performance across the region.
  • Manage the manufacturing budget, including capital expenditure and operational costs. Identify and implement cost-saving initiatives without compromising quality or efficiency and ensuring uncompromisable compliance.
  • Collaborate with supply chain teams to ensure alignment between production schedules, inventory management, and demand planning.
  • Drive initiatives to enhance supply chain visibility and responsiveness, ensuring timely delivery to market.
  • Work closely with commercial and marketing teams to align production capabilities with market needs and consumer trends.
  • Ensure flexibility of manufacturing processes to support product launches, seasonal variations and promotional campaigns.
  • Drive initiatives to reduce time-to-market for new product introductions.
  • Identify and develop leadership talents, fostering a culture of accountability and innovation.
  • Promote collaboration across cross-functional teams, including supply chain, marketing, and finance.

 

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business or other related disciplines
  • At least 15 years of experience in Supply Chain with proven experience in Manufacturing and value optimization. Experience in the FMCG sector is an advantage.
  • Proven experience in managing supply chain and go-to-market integration in international Markets.
  • Expertise in operational excellence methodologies such as Lean and Six Sigma.
  • Strong understanding of the complexities of international markets, including regulatory landscapes and cultural dynamics. Ability to travel extensively.
  • Experience in building and leading a high-performing team of senior professionals across multiple locations.
  • Demonstrated success in managing multi-site operations across diverse geographies and cultures.
