Job Description

Alcott Global has been retained by a leading FMCG company to identify a Senior Director, Supply Chain, based in Phoenix, United States. This high-impact leadership role will drive regional planning strategy and execution, enabling agility, forecast accuracy, inventory optimization, and cross-functional alignment across North America.

The Senior Director, Supply Chain is responsible for leading all facets of supply chain planning, including demand planning, supply planning, inventory management, capacity planning, and S&OP. The ideal candidate will bring deep FMCG expertise, a passion for data-driven planning, and the leadership acumen to build a high-performing, agile planning function in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:  

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive supply chain planning strategy, aligned with business and customer needs across the region.
  • Lead the demand and supply planning functions, ensuring high forecast accuracy, optimal inventory levels, and service excellence.
  • Oversee and enhance the Sales and Operations Planning (S&OP) process to drive alignment across Commercial, Finance, and Supply Chain teams.
  • Utilize advanced analytics and digital planning tools (e.g., SAP IBP, Kinaxis) to enable agile, scenario-based decision-making.
  • Optimize inventory strategy to balance availability, working capital, and supply continuity.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to streamline planning processes and enable scale.
  • Lead, coach, and develop a high-performing planning team, fostering accountability, collaboration, and growth.
  • Partner cross-functionally to support product launches, promotions, and lifecycle management from a planning perspective.
  • Define and monitor key planning performance metrics to ensure execution against business goals.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Engineering, or a related field. MBA or advanced degree is a plus.
  • Minimum of 15 years of experience in supply chain, with at least 8 years in planning leadership roles in the FMCG sector.
  • Deep expertise in demand and supply planning, inventory optimization, and S&OP.
  • Proven success in leading planning transformations and implementing planning systems (e.g., SAP IBP, Kinaxis).
  • Strong strategic, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent leadership and communication capabilities, with a track record of leading planning teams in matrixed, cross-functional environments.
