As a member of the Leadership Team, the incumbent will lead the development and execution of a standardized, cost-efficient global supply chain and procurement strategy. The role will oversee strategic sourcing, sustainable sourcing, procurement, vendor management, planning, budgeting, inventory norms, and cost performance, while enabling regional teams through streamlined processes and market intelligence.

A key focus will be ensuring supplier performance, regulatory compliance, and supply chain resilience to deliver profitable, responsible, and effective operations.

Location: Mumbai, India

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead global procurement strategy across key raw material and packaging categories.

  • Develop and execute global sourcing plans to drive scale, standardization, and supplier partnerships.

  • Manage procurement for India and support alignment of intercompany sourcing and demand planning.

  • Drive cost savings through strategic sourcing, supplier consolidation, negotiations, contract optimization, and logistics efficiencies.

  • Govern the global supplier ecosystem, including vendor selection, performance, compliance, risk management, and long-term partnerships.

  • Establish global inventory and WIP norms to improve working capital efficiency and service levels.

  • Monitor procurement, inventory, service, and supply chain cost performance against plans and budgets.

  • Track commodity, supplier, pricing, and market trends to support data-driven buying decisions and manage risks.

  • Ensure procurement and supply chain compliance with regulatory, sustainability, and ESG requirements.

  • Lead capex procurement for equipment and machinery in partnership with Technology and Operations teams.

  • Own global S&OP governance, including demand forecasting, supply planning, inventory alignment, and financial planning.

  • Drive digital and process transformation across procurement and supply chain through integrated systems and real-time visibility.

Desired Candidate Profile

  • High-potential, agile leader with around 15 years of experience in supply chain, procurement, or strategic sourcing.

  • Strong business orientation with the ability to connect procurement decisions to broader organizational outcomes.

  • Proven exposure to vendor development, supplier ecosystem building, and S&OP processes.

  • Experience driving strategic procurement transformation in complex manufacturing environments.

  • Open to candidates from packaging, automotive, pharma, or other manufacturing sectors with strong vendor development practices.

  • Global stakeholder exposure with a strategic mindset, beyond purely transactional procurement experience.
