About the Opportunity

Alcott Global is retained by an international consumer products organization to look for an experienced procurement leader to oversee strategic sourcing and supplier management activities across logistics and distribution operations globally.

 

This leadership role will be responsible for shaping procurement strategy across transportation, warehousing, and contract logistics categories while supporting business growth, operational resilience, and long-term supply chain transformation initiatives.

 

The position offers significant visibility across the organization and requires close collaboration with executive stakeholders, regional operations teams, and global logistics partners.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Define and lead the global procurement strategy for logistics and distribution categories
  • Oversee sourcing activities across transportation, warehousing, fulfillment, and related supply chain services
  • Build and manage strategic partnerships with key logistics providers worldwide
  • Lead complex commercial negotiations and long-term supplier agreements
  • Drive procurement transformation initiatives focused on efficiency, scalability, and sustainability
  • Partner with supply chain, operations, finance, and commercial teams to align procurement priorities with business objectives
  • Identify opportunities for network optimization, cost improvement, and service enhancement
  • Monitor global logistics market developments and assess supply chain risks and opportunities
  • Establish governance frameworks, supplier performance management, and procurement best practices
  • Lead cross-functional and international projects supporting operational growth and business expansion
  • Mentor and develop procurement talent within regional and global teams

 

Candidate Profile

  • 10+ years of leadership experience in procurement, sourcing, or supply chain management within logistics-intensive industries
  • Strong expertise across transportation, distribution, warehousing, and contract logistics procurement
  • Proven track record managing strategic supplier relationships and leading high-value negotiations
  • Experience operating within global or highly matrixed organizations
  • Strong commercial acumen and ability to balance operational and strategic priorities
  • Demonstrated capability leading transformation and change initiatives
  • Excellent stakeholder management and executive communication skills
  • Analytical mindset with strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities
  • Ability to lead in dynamic, international business environments
  • Fluent English required; additional languages are advantageous
