Role Summary: This individual will lead the monitoring and analysis of energy policy, regulatory developments, electricity markets, grid infrastructure, and energy transition trends across Asia. The role will provide strategic insights that influence business strategy, market positioning, and long-term investment decisions while engaging with policymakers, regulators, industry bodies, and think tanks across the region.

Key Responsibilities

• Monitor and analyze long-term energy policy, regulatory, market, and geopolitical developments across Asia and globally.
• Assess the implications of policy, regulatory, and market changes on business strategy and growth opportunities.
• Track emerging trends in electricity markets, grid modernization, energy transition, digitalization, and system transformation.
• Develop strategic research papers, executive briefings, trend analyses, and position papers.
• Produce actionable insights to support business planning, investment decisions, and market positioning. 
• Synthesize complex policy and market developments into clear recommendations for senior stakeholders.
• Build and maintain knowledge repositories covering policy initiatives, regulatory reforms, and market developments.
• Develop dashboards and thematic trackers to monitor key industry trends and market shifts.
• Contribute to industry outlooks, strategic dialogues, and thought leadership initiatives focused on the future of energy systems.

Candidate Profile

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in a relevant discipline, with 20+ years of experience in a complex, regulated industry environment.
• Strong understanding of regional market dynamics, governance structures, regulatory frameworks, and stakeholder ecosystems.
• Excellent analytical, research, writing, and communication skills, with the ability to synthesize complex information into practical business recommendations.
• Experience leveraging knowledge management systems, data analytics,and visualization tools to support decision-making is advantageous.
