Job Description

Alcott Global is partnering with a leading medical device company to search for their Managing Director, Southeast Asia to be based in Singapore. The role will play a pivotal role in establishing and maintaining strong relationships with key stakeholders, including distributors, healthcare professionals, and regulatory bodies.

As the Managing Director, SEA, you will be responsible for developing and executing a comprehensive regional strategy, building a high-performing team, and driving significant commercial success.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement a strategic growth plan for the SEA region, aligned with the company's overall global objectives.
  • Lead and manage a high-performing team across various SEA countries, fostering a culture of collaboration and excellence.
  • Oversee all aspects of the commercial operation in SEA, including sales, marketing, market access, and distribution.
  • Develop and implement effective marketing strategies to drive brand awareness, product adoption, and market share growth within the region.
  • Build strong and lasting relationships with key stakeholders, including distributors, healthcare professionals, regulatory bodies, and government officials.
  • Lead the development and execution of market access strategies to secure regulatory approvals and market access for our products in SEA countries.
  • Oversee pricing and reimbursement strategies to ensure optimal market access and financial performance.
  • Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and regulatory environments in SEA to identify new opportunities and address potential risks.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and ethical guidelines within the medical device/pharmaceutical industry.
  • Contribute to the development and execution of regional marketing and communication strategies.
  • Provide strategic direction and support to local country teams in SEA.
  • Develop and maintain accurate budgets and forecasts for the SEA region.
  • Identify and implement cost-effective solutions to optimize regional operations.
  • Travel extensively within SEA to build relationships and oversee regional operations.

 

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 10-15 years of experience in the medical device or pharmaceutical industry, with a proven track record of success in a leadership role.
  • Extensive experience in developing and executing successful commercial strategies within the SEA region, preferably in the medical device/pharmaceutical industry.
  • Strong understanding of the healthcare industry dynamics, regulatory landscape, and market access processes in SEA.
  • Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate, inspire, and develop a high-performing team.
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills.
  • Proven ability to build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong commercial acumen with a focus on driving profitability and market share growth.
