Alcott Global is retained by an international consumer goods company to search for Head of Operations leading end to end Operations and supply chain for India. The role is based in Mumbai and reports to the division’s VP Operations, AMEA.
The Head of Operations will have oversight of the end-to-end operations across manufacturing, planning, logistics, and overall supply strategy for the business. This role is responsible for ensuring world-class standards across their supply chains. This role will be part of the overall leadership team for the business in India and will be responsible for ensuring the supply chain strategy & delivery is aligned with the overall business goals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Create and drive the regional & global Supply Chain strategy & objectives. Lead the development of the Supply Chain function and its overall contribution to the CBU business strategy.
- Ensure a culture of world-class operations processes and procedures for efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
- Be an overall business leader and collaborate with other business leaders in Sales, marketing, HR, Finance, etc to deliver the overall company vision and direction.
- Be a coach and mentor and create a world-class operations team delivering high performance for the business. Develop and grow talent pool, and build robust succession plans
- Participate actively with the Regional teams to enhance local and global initiatives and drive the Supply Chain toward excellence
- Lead the budgeting and resource allocation in alignment with company goals across the supply chain organisation.
- Be a leader in Quality and Health standards across the value chain.
- Lead the business expansion initiatives through the right capex proposals and ensure world-class execution of the business plans
- Bring a mindset of continuous improvement within processes and teams
- Build effective relationships with key Customers and Suppliers: drive growth and innovation through collaboration
- Champion new technologies where feasible for creating a winning business outcome
- Promote a culture of innovation and compliance across the supply chain and operational team.
Key Skills:
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, or a related field. A Master's degree is preferred.
- 10+ years of proven experience in supply chain leadership roles and overall 18-20 years in experience in supply chains and operations.
- Strong understanding of industry-specific regulations and compliance standards.
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and leadership skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment such as M&As
