The Opportunity

  • We are seeking an experienced Global Head – Logistics Sourcing to lead the organization's global logistics procurement strategy. This is a highly strategic leadership role responsible for developing and executing sourcing strategies across international logistics categories while driving supplier performance, cost optimization, business continuity, and long-term value creation.
  • The successful candidate will work closely with senior business stakeholders and global suppliers to shape procurement strategies, influence the external marketplace, and strengthen the company's global logistics network.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute global logistics sourcing and category strategies aligned with business objectives.
  • Lead complex, cross-functional, international sourcing initiatives and strategic procurement programs.
  • Build and maintain executive-level relationships with internal stakeholders and key global logistics partners.
  • Drive supplier selection, qualification, contract negotiations, and long-term supplier relationship management.
  • Optimize the global logistics supplier base to improve cost, service, quality, and operational performance.
  • Develop strategies for cost optimization, supply assurance, business continuity, and risk mitigation.
  • Lead commercial negotiations for high-value, complex logistics contracts.
  • Utilize data analytics, financial modelling, and supply chain insights to support strategic decision-making.
  • Identify contractual and commercial risks and develop innovative solutions to mitigate them.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives across global logistics sourcing operations.
  • Provide thought leadership on emerging logistics trends, market developments, and procurement best practices.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Procurement, Business, Engineering, or a related discipline. A Master's degree is preferred.
  • Typically 10+ years of experience in procurement, strategic sourcing, or supply chain management with significant exposure to global logistics.
  • Proven experience managing complex international supplier relationships and commercial negotiations.
  • Experience developing and implementing global sourcing and category strategies.

Preferred Skills & Experience

  • Strong understanding of global procurement and strategic sourcing practices.
  • Deep expertise in logistics sourcing, logistics network costing, and transportation models, particularly across the EMEA region.
  • Excellent analytical and financial modelling capabilities.
  • Strong program and project management experience across multiple concurrent initiatives.
  • Advanced negotiation, influencing, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to engage effectively with senior executives and global suppliers.
  • Strong commercial acumen with experience managing complex contracts and supplier agreements.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and procurement analytics tools.
  • Fluent in English; additional European languages would be advantageous.
